Everything is growing really well.

The tatties are full of leaves and are flowering too!

I've also planted out some pea plants in a tub in the front of school - let's see how they'll do?

Our strawberries are ripening and some are ready to eat!!!

The tatties are growing well and full topped up with soil so the tubers and tatties so be growing nicely.

The lettuce has done really well in its regrowth and the others should be ready for first harvest.

The outdoor peas are doing well, always going to grow a little slower.

The indoor peas have done really well and are now outside to harden whilst I find a suitable spot in the school grounds to plant them.

Also a wee photo of the baby seagulls ......

The potatoes are coming on nicely in their pots.

Lettuce will be harvested next week and at some point in the future.

The other herbs will be ready in 2 or 3 weeks time!

Hello From Mr Ritchie

Thursday 16th April

The plants are all growing well. Mr Ritchie has even made his own cold frame to help them grow even more. There are some lovely flowers appearing in our flower beds too.

Thursday 9th April

Mr Ritchie has brought the plants back to school this week. They are being kept safe in the inner quadrangle. He has even made a temporary cold frame to help them grow.

Mr Ritchie has also planted tatties - some hopefully ready in August and some in October.

Thursday 2nd April

Mr Ritchie has had a little helper this week to look after the plants.  Can you see how much they have grown? Lettuce is growing in the blue tubs and the wee silver tins. Parsley and rocket are growing in the plastic cartons.

Keep up the good work Mr Ritchie!!

Thursday 27th March

Mr Ritchie is taking the seedlings home to look after them.

Look how much they have grown again!!

Mr Ritchie's Growing Project

Thursday 5th March

Mr Ritchie showed the boys and girls in P1/2 how he was going to reuse plastic containers to grow plants. The seeds were very small!!

Thursday 12th March

Mr Ritchie brought the containers us back to see if they had grown.  We notice that the lettuce and some of the herbs had started to grow but not the parsley.
