Burns Supper 2018
On Tuesday 30th January Rothes Primary School hosted a Burns Supper at the Grant Hall. Two past pupils piped in our guests and then piped in the haggis. They were fantastic! The P6/7 class recited the address to the haggis before the whole community joined in with the Selkirk Grace. We all had a lovely plate of haggis, neeps and tatties and then two P7 pupils perofrmed the Toast to the Lassies and the Reply.
The evening then continued with a mix of special guest performances and ceilidh dancing. Rev Anderson recited 'A man's a man', Mr John Cockburn performed Burns Songs on his clarinet, Mrs Pat Fraser recited 'To a Mouse' and Mr Jim Bartlett sang two Scottish songs accompanied by Mrs Lindsey Scott.
The evening concluded with a whole community 'Auld Lang Syne' led by Mr Barlett, Mr Cockburn and Mrs Scott.
Thank you to everyone who made this evening a wonderful event.
